Social Responsibility Forum 2009 Social Business Plan Competition. IE Net Impact is pleased to invite you to participate in the IE Social Responsibility Forum 2009 Social Business Plan Competition. Entrants have been invited from across Europe to join IE students in competing for the prize.
Entrants will be competing for the chance to present at the IE Social Responsibility Forum where they will receive feedback from experts in the social and environmental fields. The winner of the competition will receive a €1500 prize.
Evaluation and judging process.
The competition will seek to identify the project that will generate the most effective Social or Environmental returns. Big or small, the venture described should seek to maximize the social value it can create with the limited resources it has available. Entrants will need to convince the judges that the project is both feasible and executable.

Qualifying submissions due no later than 9th October.
Must be submitted via email in a PDF to sim@ie.edu. The four successful finalists will be notified by email by 16th October. The qualifying submission should be a one page elevator pitch describing your social venture.
Finalists written plan due 30th October.
Each of the four finalists will be required to submit an extended Executive Summary detailing their business for review by the judges before the presentation. There is a strict limit of 5 pages for the report (including all appendices and exhibits). The report must be submitted via email in PDF format to sim@ie.edu, you will receive an email confirming receipt. Whilst a clear explanation of the Business Model and/ or funding requirements is a necessity, entrants should substitute financial forecasts with a description of how their venture will create social and environmental value and provide forecasts of its impact.
Presentation will take place on 7th November at the IE Social Responsibility Forum.
Each team will be allotted 20 minutes. The presentation may not be more than 10 minutes long. The rest of the available time will be set aside for questions and live feedback. This format will allow the presenting teams and the audience to fully leverage the learning potential of the experience and hear feedback from judges on the spot.
Winner Announced and Prize Awarded at the closing ceremony of the IE Social Responsibility Forum on 7th November.
