About us The IE Social Responsiblity Forum 2011 is the sixth annual event organized by students of IE Business School in Madrid. In the past, the IE Social Responsibility Forum has covered a broad range of issues such as Energy, Base of the Pyramid, Redefining Capitalism, and Corporate Social Responsibility. Some of the distinguished keynote speakers the Forum has hosted include Mr. José María Figueres, former president of Costa Rica, Mr. Jonathan Robinson, founder of the Hub, Mr. Jeremy Leggett, chairman of Solar Century, and Mr. Alejandro Litovsky, head of the Pathway to Scale program at Volans. IE Business School boasts students from 80 different nationalities in its Master, Doctoral and Executive Education programs. The school is one of the world’s leading business schools, featured in prestigious global rankings: 1st worldwide in the Wall Street Journal MBA Ranking, 8th worldwide in the Financial Times Business School Ranking, and 9th worldwide in the Aspen Institute Sustainability Ranking. Here is more about this year's team: ![]() Alice Neves Thomé came from the travel & tourism industry to pursue an MBA degree that could open up new horizons for her career. Alice is Brazilian and has lived in the Czech Republic prior to living in Madrid and studying at IE Business School. A former AIESECer, she is passionate about the power an entrepreneurial spirit has to change the world. Most of all, Alice believes that our very essential values have to be present in everything we do. "I can't spend 8, 10 hours of my day, five days a week, doing something I can't see a true meaning for. There has to be a purpose. With that, even the toughest of the jobs can be done with joy". ![]() Aline Carnizelo is an economist, IMBA 2011 Candidate and the President of the IE Net Impact Chapter, where she has led several events on the fields of Social Entrepreneurship and Sustainability. In the past six years Aline has developed a career in Macroeconometrics, Investment Banking and Impact Investing. She has experience in commodity trading, risk analysis, equity capital markets, portfolio management, multilateral syndicated finance and private equity. Her paradigm is combining passion with work to achieve true happiness, which in her case involves enthusiasm for social inclusion, green footprint and finance. ![]() Ana Elisa Gil Arreaza is currently pursuing her Masters degree in International Management at IE Business School. She is a Social Web savvy with an inherent passion for environmental issues, and has recently joined the IE Net Impact Club to lead the Communications and Marketing Strategy for the 2011 Social Responsibility Forum. Ana Elisa comes from Caracas, Venezuela. ![]() Chloé Tuot is passionate about international development, having spent seven years working in strategy consulting, program development and communications for UN agencies, Governments, foundations and NGOs in Africa, Asia and Latin America. A dual French-USA citizen, she is an MBA candidate at IE Business School and holds a BA from the University of Pennsylvania. She is particularly keen on furthering issues of education development, global health and social entrepreneurship, and is eager to combine these in a career in impact investing. ![]() For the past fifteen years, Golbanoo Naghshineh has acquired extensive international experience by studying and working across multiple continents. She has been involved in various roles as strategy project manager, portfolio analytics manager and internal consultant throughout her career within the financial sector. Golbanoo's dynamic personality, intuitive communication and analytical skills as well as her leadership and collaborative team player attitude has enabled her to excel professionally and connect with people from various cultures. Golbanoo is an avid traveler and hopes to combine her passion for travel with entrepreneurial spirit. ![]() Jesús Caínzos is a computer engineer with 6 years of experience in financial auditing and consulting in the financial industry in Deloitte. He lives in Spain where he graduated with a BA in Computer Science and is now a 2011 IE Business School MBA candidate. He is passionate about development, travel and sports. He has helped in the preparation of business plans for several start-ups and is now working in the development of its own start-up seeking to facilitate the expansion of financial inclusion in emerging markets by using SMS applications for second-generation phones with two MBA colleagues. José Luis Ruiz de Munain studied economics at the University of Navarra and HEC Switzerland. He worked for one year in Thailand, where he was deeply involved in programs aimed at supporting local Social Entrepreneurs and promoting CSR public policies. He has been consultant and trade specialist for the Spanish Embassy in India as well. Jose Luis's career goal is to help create an ecosystem that will bring together social investors, entrepreneurs and governments to tackle most pressing social and environmental problems. Jose Luis is Vice President of SRF 2011. ![]() Kyle Grant-Anderson is from Seattle, Washington and worked as a performance analyst for an institutional consulting team before moving to Madrid to pursue his MBA at IE Business School. He is sharing his experience here with his wife, Anne, who challenges and inspires him as they chart their course together as a team. Kyle is an avid outdoorsman with a passion for the environment. He values his family and being a life-long learner – someone who learns from his experiences and is open to new ideas and opportunities. Kyle aspires to bring a socially responsible lens to the work he does and have a positive impact on the community. ![]() Leandro Sabignoso is an MBA candidate at IE Business School and Fundación Carolina scholar. He has an engineering background in electronics and he is passionate about technology. Before coming to Madrid, Leandro worked for the Energy and Telecommunications industries in Argentina. He is motivated about helping the development of Latin America, and he believes the path to convergence lies in the promotion of sustainable technologies. In his own words: "My paradigm is that a truly sustainable world should involve everyone in it. It is time to encourage sustainability everywhere, being emerging or developed economies...". ![]() Manuel Antonio Camacho is a specialist in entrepreneurship and sustainability. His work experience and passion have led him to explore ways to harness the power of the entrepreneurial spirit toward environmental and social impact. He currently pursues his MBA at IE Business School in Madrid, Spain, where he is also President of the Social Responsibility Forum, and has a B.A. in International Affairs and Economics from The George Washington University. Manuel Antonio is originally form Caracas, Venezuela. ![]() Michelle Lanspa joined the IE Business School's international MBA program to take her reach as a global marketing professional to the next level. While she was born and raised as the oldest of seven in Omaha, Nebraska, Michelle has achieved a breadth of experience in project management and marketing working in other US locations, Europe, and Africa for SMEs and NGOs in a variety of industries. Her passions are sharing the joy of eating and being a scholar for life. In her future career, Michelle would like to participate in the paradigm shift taking place regarding responsible consumerism by using innovative methodologies. Michelle Travis-Blanchet is a former educator interested in education, development, and social enterprises. She just completed her Masters in International Relations at the IE School of Arts and Humanities and is a Vice President of the Social Responsibility Forum. ![]() Sara Enright is an experienced consultant and researcher with a passion for the advancement of social justice in the developing world. She worked as a Senior Analyst for McKinsey and Company's Social Sector Office, and also has experience working for programs to improve U.S./Latin American relations and social development with the Inter American Dialogue and the Sierra Club. Sara is an MBA candidate for 2011 at IE Business School, and holds a BA from the University of Texas at Austin. |
